Schottis I Byn (Sweden)

Music: Schottis I Byn with Saby Draget
Meter: 4/4
Formation: couple, M in the center W on the outside
Introduction: start at the beginning of any musical phrase

Schottis step: step on O (1), I (2), O (3), hop on O (4); repeat with opposite footwork

Part 1

Bar 1:  Starting with outside foot do one Schottis step forward in LOD (OIO, hop)
Bars 2-3: Do a Parisar turn (Parisar Turn: using Schottis footwork, make a complete turn away from each other, M turning CCW, W turning CW)
Bar 4: do one Schottis steps forward in LOD (IOI hop)
Bar 5: Get into shoulder-shoulder blade position (closed position), with M stepping on O in front of W (1), hop on O (2), Turning CW, Step on I (3), hop on I (4)
Bar 6: Do one schottis step turning CW as a couple (OIO hop)
Bars 7-8: Continuing the turn by stepping on I (1) hop on I (2), Do one Schottis step (O (3), I, (4) O (1), hop (2)), Step on I (3), hop on I (4)
Bars 9-16: repeat bars 1-8

Note: Bars 5-8 are Step hop (O), Step Hop (I) Schottis (OIO hop), Step hop (I), Schottish (OIO hop), Step hop (I).  The second schottis step crosses the bars

Part 2

Bars 1-4: Holding nearer hands. Man does 4 schottis Steps in place, while woman dances in a CCW circle around him (start by dancing in front of him. Don't drop hands.
Bars 5-8: repeat bars 5-8 of part 1.
Bars 9-16: repeat bars 1-8

Part 3

Bar 1: With M in the middle, holding both hands, Step on O in LOD (1), pause (2), Cross I over O in LOD (3), pause (4)
Bar 2: One Schottis step in LOD while facing partner (O, I, O, hop)
Bars 3-4: repeat bars 1-2 of part 3  with opposite footwork and direction
Bars 5-8: repeat bars 5-8 of part 1.
Bars 9-16: repeat bars 1-8
