Klapok (Ada's Version)
Poland

These notes ©2016, Andrew Carnie. Originally taught by Ada Dziewwnaowska, who learned it from Irena Kik. She also notes that there is a description in the book by Grażyna Dąbrowska (1980) Taniec ludowy na Mazowszu. Richard Schmidt also taught a slightly more complicated version. The dance name come from "klapać", to clap.

End the polkas in a circle with the M facing LOD and the W facing RLOD. Do clapping sequence with partner as above, except on jump on both feet on count (2) of Bar 8, pull R shoulder back to face person behind you. This is your new partner. Do the repeat of the clapping sequence with this person, and then do the polka with them.
