Boereascǎ - Bloland versionRomania
These notes ©2016, Andrew Carnie. This version was originally introduced in the US by Sunni Bloland, who learned it from Margareta Slaminen and Titer Sever. The name translates as Boyar or landlords dance and this version is from Dolj in Oltenia. This dance should not be confused with Boiereasca or Hora Boiereasca (which Bloland also introduced).

Formation: Open circle, hands in W position. Leads to the R
Introduction: 8 Bars no action
Bar 1: Step R (1), L (2), R (3), L (4) in LOD curving gently into the center closing the circle up.
Bar 2: Rock on R forward into the center (1), step back in place on L (2), step back on R (3), step back on L (4)
Bar 3: Repeat bar 2
Bar 4: Facing center, step R to R (1), Step on L behind (&) Step on R in place (2), Step on L to L (3), Step on R behind L (&), Step on L in place (4).
