Meter: 3/4 (parts 1-3), 4/4 (part 4)
Formation: Couples facing LOD, M on the L, W on the R and slightly forward. W's R hand is held up, and Man's R holds it behind W's head. Free L hands are on hips.
Introduction: 4 bars, start with main melody
Part 1:
Footwork is same for M and W.Bar 1: Rock forward on R (1), rock back on L (2), Rock forward on R (3)
Bar 2: Rock forward on L (1), Rock back on R (2), Rock forward on L (3)
Bars 3-4: M takes 6 walking steps in place, W takes 6 walking steps tracing a CW circle (turning away from partner and ending by stepping under joined R hands
Bars 5-8: repeat bars 1-4
Part 2:
Bars 1-2: repeat bars 1-2 of part 1Bars 3-4: Using 6 walking steps (M dancing in place as the "pivot", W walking forward) make a complete CCW turn in place as a couple (to make this easier, it helps to join L hands in front of man's body, but that's not part of Andor's original notes)
Bars 5-8: repeat bars 1-4 of part 2, except end with woman making an extra 1/4 turn, and switching to hold both hands with partner. woman takes extra little step so that she has L foot free for part 3. End with W's back to LOD and man facing LOD.
Part 3:
Bars 1-2: M's footwork is the same as in part 1; W rocks backwards on L (1), forward on R (2), backwards on L (3); Rock backwards on R (1), forward on L (2), rock backwards on R (3)Bar 3-4: using 6 walking steps woman makes a complete CW turn under M's R, W's L hand
Bars 5-8: repeat bars 1-4, repeat bars 1-3, except woman turns 1 and a 1/2 to end in original position. Woman has to take an extra little step to end with R free.
repeat all of parts 1, 2, 3 again, end in shoulder/waist position with L hips touching
Part 4: (4/4)
Note that dance phrase does not match musical phrase. In Shoulder/Waist position, with L hips touchingBar 1: Step R (1), L (2) forward rotating CCW. Step on R toe pivoting to face opposite direction (3), lower down on R foot (4)
Bar 2: repeat bar 1 with opposite footwork, turning CW
Bar 3: repeat bar 1
Bars 4-6: Take 10 walking steps rotating CW (1-10), then Step on L toe pivoting to face opposite direction (11), and lower on L foot (12)
Bars 7-9: repeat bars 4-6 with opposite footwork and direction
Bars 10-18: repeat bars 1-9 with opposite footwork and direction
repeat part 4 until the end of the music
