from the youtube video
Veyom echad k'sheyitgaleh hapetach hasodi,
vadai nis'mach ve'az nivrach lagan habil'adi.
Vesham nichyeh, mah she'omrim
shirim shel erev chag,
vehistoriah techayech vetenamnem batzad.

Mimabatcha hame'ohav tatzitz hasakranut,
veshuv ani emtza becah t'vunah vegam tmimut.
Ki beyadcha atah tach'bi mafte'ach lelibi,
ve'lo yihyeh ahuv mimcha bagan habil'adi.

Chayot raot, meduka'ot, yochlu michaf yadi.
Uveyadcha atah tachbi mafte'ach lelibi,
ve'lo yiheyh ahuv mimcha bagan habil'adi.

And one day when the secret opening will be revealed
we'll surely rejoice and then run away to the exclusive garden.
And there we shal live, as they say -
songs of a festival eve,
and history will smile and doze off on the side.

From your loving smile the curiosity will bloom,
and again I'll find understanding and also simplicity.
Because in your hand, you hide the key to my heart,
and I'll have no lover other than you in the exclusive garden.

During dusk we'll hike in the exclusive garden.
Bad, depressed animals will eat from the palm of my hand.
And in your hand, you hide the key to my heart,
and I'll have no lover other than you in the exclusive garden.

    Ta Dakria - Weisburd Version

These notes ©2017, Andrew Carnie. This is the dance taught (and probably choreographed) by Ira Weisburd. There is a different dance which was taught Dansend Aanleren, by the same name.  The title translates as "The tears". The dance is clearly a hasapikos variation.

Music: So there are many many different Greek recordings with this name, I have been unable to figure out the source of the one Ira uses for his choreography.

    Bar 1:  Facing center, cross L over R (1), Step on R to R (2), Step on L behind R (3), Step on R to R (4)

Bar 3: Step on L to L (1). Step on R across in front of L (2), Rock back on L in place (3), Step on R to R (4)

    Il Cantico Delle Creature (Italy/USA)

Posted on May 12, 2017 by muo

    Il Cantico delle Creature
    USA Italy

These notes ©2017, Andrew Carnie. I believe the dance was choreographed by Ira Weisburd. He certainly has been the main teacher of the dance in the US.

Music: Angelo Branduardi  Da Francesco a Francesco Note that Ira edited the music for this dance on his CDs to take out the extra few bars that show up every few times through the dance. Amazon
    Meter: 4/4
Formation: closed circle with hands in W position
    Introduction: start with singing

    Bar 1: Facing center, step on R across in front of L (1). Step on L to L (2). Step on R behind L (3). Step on L to L (4) (i.e. a grapevine)
    Bar 2: repeat bar 1
    Bar 3: Traveling into the center, step R (1), L (2), R (3), L (4), raising hands up throughout.
    Bar 4: Drop hands, make a 1/2 CW turn, pulling R shoulder back to face out and stepping R (1), L (2), R (3), L (4)
Bar 5: With hands held with neighbor, but high, step on R to R (1), close L next to R with weight (2), Step on R to R (3), Close L next to R, but don't put weight on it.
Bar 6: repeat bar 5, with opposite footwork and direction
Bar 7: drop hands, and leading with R hand forward, start dancing outwards, curving slightly as you do so and R (1), L (2), R (3), L (4)
    Bar 8: Complete turn, pulling R shoulder back to face center again, while stepping R (1), L (2), R (3), L (4)

To make the dance fit the original music you have to add an extra bar in the 3rd, 5th, 8th, and 9th time through the dace between bars 7 and 8. This extra bar is just a repeat of bar 7 dancing out of the center.

    translation from: http://lyricstranslate.com/it/il-cantico-delle-creature-canticle-creation.html
    Canticle of Creation

Only to you, o good lord
    Belong glory and honor
To you every praise and blessing
    They belong only to you
    As you are the highest
    And no man is worthy
    Speaking your name.
    Be praised, my lord
    With your creatures,
    Especially brother sun
    And his light.
    You illuminate us by him,
So that the beauty and splendour
    Bring the sign
    Of you, highest lord.
    Be praised, my lord,
    For sisters moon and tars,
That you have created in heavens
    Fair and beautiful.
    Be praised for brother wind,
    Air, clouds, and rough weather
That give sustainance to your creatures.
    Be praised, my lord
    For our sister water,
    She is chaste, very useful
    And precious.
    Be praised for brother fire
That lights the night for us,
    And is beautiful, playful,
    Firm and strong.
    Be praised, my lord,
    For our Mother Earth,
    For her who sustains us
    And governs us
    Be praised, my lord,
    She bears diverse fruit,
    Many colourful flowers,
    And green herbs.
    Be praised for those
That forgive in the name of your love
    Bearing weakness
    And trials
    And blessed are they
    Who walk in peace
    That from you, good lord,
    They receive the crown.
    Be praised, my lord
    For corporal death,
    From which no-one that lives
    Can escape
    And blessed will be those
    That do your will
    That sister death
    will not harm them.
